"Alright, alright, it's just some small issues. Why don't you introduce your features first?" Lu Mian gently coaxed the softly sobbing system.

"Awwww~ Host, you're so kind... You're nothing like those case-study hosts who always fight their systems."

"My functions are all included... just, well... yeah..."

The system, proudly graduated from the Three Great Colleges of the dimensional system realm, was assigned a host among the vast multiverse to begin what was supposed to be an incredible journey.

Lu Mian's **Life Simulation System** came equipped with three core features:

**System Space**, **System Mall**, and **Life Simulation**.

The **System Space** could store items acquired during simulations or serve as personal storage.

The **System Mall** could exchange simulation points for treasures—like a legendary rainbow axe, resurrection scrolls, or pills powerful enough to let you challenge the entire world after swallowing them.

But the most important function—**Life Simulation**—was designed to explore endless possibilities of the same world tied to the host.

Seeing the same people at different times… making different choices… living different paths.

Each divergence had potential—possibilities that might one day develop into true parallel worlds branching off from the "main world."

Of course, it also rewarded Lu Mian with system points and the occasional item drop.

After finishing her self-introduction, the system straightened her virtual spine, confidence returning.

"See? I'm strong, right?"

"*Cough* Host, please don't worry. While I may have... slightly underperformed earlier, I'm still a top graduate from the three major campuses. I swear I won't let you down again!"

Lu Mian nodded, but the nod was... noncommittal.

Graduate of the Three Great Colleges? Most likely someone who learned everything halfway and mastered nothing.

Worse yet, maybe she learned in reverse—like taking flight lessons from a horse, betrayal tactics from the finish line, or dancing technique from cats.

Just imagining those possibilities made Lu Mian break into a cold sweat. He quickly changed the subject:

"No big deal. No matter how unlucky we are, someone will end up worse and carry the weight for us."

As he said this, he reached out into the air and grasped gently—suddenly, **a golden liquid shimmered into existence**, condensing into a hexagonal prism.

Its name—**Void Thousand Treasures**.

> (Talent) "True Soul Penetration": Your soul has transcended, but your body remains in the original world. Though an accident, it's seen as a gift. You can now randomly attach yourself to anything in existence.

Before the simulation begins, Lu Mian receives random innate traits—identities, abilities, powers that enrich the simulation without affecting his core personality.

"True Soul Penetration" was one such trait.

And as for the **Void Thousand Treasures**—that was the "anything" his soul happened to latch onto.

It was also the reason Lu Mian hadn't broken down emotionally despite everything.

After all, people don't truly empathize with each other's joy or sorrow. But thinking about Void Thousand Treasures, the cosmic eyebrow pencil of fate, the purest stroke of luck stolen out of thin air—more pitiful than both him and the system combined—Lu Mian couldn't help but smile.

**Wuhu~ This was the best possible start he could've asked for.**

Now that he had a clearer grasp of the system and simulation setup, Lu Mian snapped his fingers lightly.

In an instant, **a long black windbreaker** manifested onto his body.

Void Thousand Treasures was... pretty overpowered.

Satisfied with the way he looked, Lu Mian stepped out of the dark alleyway, sticking close to the wall to avoid the crowded streets, letting himself wander.

Now that he had reclaimed the Void Thousand Treasures, not only did he inherit all of its abilities, but he could now also **shift between tangible and intangible form**.

No need to worry about survival. His lifespan? Practically endless.

But this was still just a simulation.

And once it ended... he'd have to return to a dying body.

That thought made Lu Mian's shoulders twitch involuntarily.

If it came to it, he could die with pride—clenching his teeth and accepting the end.

But if even the slimmest chance existed—he wanted to live.

He was only eighteen.

He asked the system in his mind about possible simulation rewards, but all he got was:

> "Umm… The rewards are probably random?"

Lu Mian sighed.

**Relying on random rewards was basically gambling.**

So what else could he do?

Study the built-in Void Thousand Treasures database?

That idea lasted half a second before he mentally rejected it.

Sure, he'd scored over 600 on the general college exam, and that was while being a sports-track student.

But that didn't mean he could suddenly awaken into some genius scholar who mastered universal laws.

If he really had that kind of talent, he would've flown ahead years ago. Not crammed for exams like some struggling normal.

So what now?

Maybe...

**Try to climb Otto's wall?**

Based on the system's info, Otto Apocalis should still be a child. It might be the only time he could approach without getting vaporized.

Then again...

That didn't seem smart either.

Everyone who used Otto died. Even Kallen, the one he loved most, didn't make it out.

Using Otto = Death.

"Whoosh—"

Lost in thought, Lu Mian's steps paused when he heard a sharp gust of air overhead.

He looked up—and saw **a wooden toy airplane** rapidly growing in size as it fell toward him.

Bigger… bigger… huh?

**Wait—this thing's diving straight at me!!**

**"Donk—!"**

The wooden plane slammed squarely into his forehead with a dull thud.

Passersby turned their heads instinctively.

> "Sounded pretty solid. Definitely hit the forehead."

They glanced around curiously at the walls, saw nothing, then quickly went back to their own business.

Lu Mian picked up the wooden plane that had just nailed his skull—and realized it was perfectly intact.

His forehead, however, felt swollen.

That thing fell from way too high—would've knocked out a normal person.

He looked up at the wall it had flown over.

Then sighed.

**Cao Cao, speak of the devil, and the devil shows up.**

Well no... In this case, **he** was the one who arrived.

Who else in this era could build such a delicate model plane?

Only one name came to mind.

**Otto Apocalis.**

And who else would chuck a finished toy out of their courtyard wall like trash?

Lu Mian looked at the plane again, then flipped up onto the high wall in two fluid steps.

-----------------------

**Inside the courtyard.**

A small boy with blond hair sat quietly in a wheelchair, staring blankly toward the wall his wooden airplane had vanished over. His eyes were gray, dim.

He was seven years old.

**Otto Apocalis.**

Beside him stood a boy who looked strikingly similar—blond hair, blue eyes—but older.

He scolded Otto with an annoyed frown.

"I told you you were too weak for carpentry! Even the wood shavings made you sneeze for hours, and now look—you just threw that stupid plane over the wall and probably hit someone!"

He stomped a foot.

"Forget it! I'm done talking. Take care of yourself."

He stormed off without a second glance.

Otto stayed there in his chair, unmoving. Staring blankly beyond the courtyard.

He let out a soft sigh.

Just as he began to look away, a figure **climbed over the wall** — sharp, graceful, brushing lightly against the stone.

His appearance caught the late sunlight, casting him in gold and shadow. If not for the faint red bump on his forehead, he might've looked like some saint descending from heaven.

Otto was stunned.

Those emerald eyes locked onto the man's silhouette—quietly, completely.

But then, the man spoke—

And the words made Otto's young heart skip several beats.

"This yours?" he asked, holding the wooden plane.

"Just. Flew. Got it. Good. Tall. Okay. Tall. Ah."
