The Honkai Plague, which had ravaged all of Europe, was finally brought to an end.

Otto Apocalypse and Kallen Kaslana worked together to deliver the anti-Honkai vaccine to the people.

Most of them wouldn't remember noble titles or achievements, but the names "Otto" and "Kallen" etched themselves into their memories permanently.

For a time, the two of them became household names—praised and revered.

Soon, titles like **"Holy Maiden"** and **"Platinum Bishop"** spread among the masses like wildfire.

These weren't casual epithets. They carried heavy historical and religious significance.

And yet, they still spread like sacred fire, burning into the collective memory.

It proved just how deeply the vaccination efforts moved the hearts of the people.

You, meanwhile, stayed in the shadows, silently watching it all unfold.

You watched as those two shining figures stood under the sunlight, their radiance seemingly unreachable.

And your feelings… were complicated.

How to describe it?

It wasn't quite like watching a farmer proudly observe his crops grow—

No, it was far messier than that.

Too complex for words. Too tangled for reason.

But sometimes, life doesn't require every emotion to be analyzed. Some things are better left vague.

Years later, historians obsessed with documenting every detail of the **Platinum Bishop** and the **Crimson Saint** would revisit this era countless times.

They weren't after poetic tragedy, nor sensational myths. They simply sought to present the true sacredness of this moment.

They believed that only this kind of history was worthy of Otto and Kallen's names.

But Otto and Kallen themselves? They never cared about such portrayals.

Because the truth—the real, raw truth—was taken away by someone forgotten by the world… but never meant to be forgotten.

Those who live in reality understand that nothing ever goes perfectly.

Though the anti-Honkai vaccine successfully ended the plague and saved millions, it also sparked something darker.

Otto's father—**Nicholas Apocalypse**, Archbishop of Schicksal—allowed his greed to fester further.

Under the absurd excuse of "fighting Honkai" and "protecting humanity," he began interfering in the political structure of Europe.

And once his ambition tasted power, it lost what little conscience it had left.

In that very same year, with the Plague resolved, Nicholas ordered Schicksal to prepare a large-scale **Eastern Expedition**—a full-blown invasion—for the sake of expansion and profit.

To ensure its success, Nicholas authorized the deployment of the **Divine Key: Oath of Judah**, currently wielded by the strongest Valkyrie of the era.

He ordered her to lead the frontlines personally.

And that strongest warrior was none other than—

Kallen Kaslana.

When you learned of the Eastern Expedition plan, you didn't say anything.

There was no point.

Nicholas, that filthy old dog, had already chosen his end. He just hadn't realized it yet.

What concerned you most wasn't him.

It was Kallen—being forced to participate in a war of aggression.

Invasion is a sin no different from human experimentation.

Where there is invasion, there is genocide. Where there is conquest, there is slaughter.

Going into another's land to burn, kill, and pillage… What kind of soul does that require?

You could already predict what would follow: altering history, denying atrocities, justifying evil with rewritten narratives.

The rulers would bask in praise.

But Kallen, the weapon they sent, would carry the stain of that war forever.

That was disgusting to you.

And if they continued eastward… wouldn't they eventually reach China?

How charming. Fuck this world.

Why such damn luck?

Otto and Kallen had each walked into hell—one through experimentation, the other through warfare.

Was it your fate to poison the people you cared about?

You exhaled softly.

Both Otto and Kallen stood in silence, waiting for your decision.

They had no say in this.

But you... you did.

This was your burden to bear. It always had been.

Even if you were just a flickering candle in the wind, you'd still light up some corner of this cursed world.

In the end, you smiled faintly and said to Kallen: don't worry about it. Join the Eastern Expedition.

You and Otto will go with her.

You'll find a way. You always have, haven't you?

And so the Eastern Expedition began—but it didn't go quite as Nicholas had planned.

Schicksal's armies, cloaked in platinum armor, stormed east under banners of justice, sweeping through corrupt landlords and "purging evil."

It became something like a righteous crusade.

Under the leadership of the **Platinum Bishop** and the **Red Saint**, people began calling them the **Platinum Righteous Servants**.

Wherever they passed, they were welcomed with open arms.

Civilians walked miles to send them off. Their military discipline was impeccable.

Along the way, their reputation soared.

More and more believers, scholars, and visionaries joined their cause. Their forces grew stronger by the day.

As for Nicholas Apocalypse?

That wretched bishop only received filtered reports.

He thought the campaign was proceeding as *he* intended.

Idiot.

Meanwhile, Kallen saw many things along the way.

She saw the joy of people who truly smiled from their hearts.

She saw the warped faces of those who resisted and lost.

She couldn't tell if this journey was truly righteous.

But… when she saw so many people laughing—laughing *genuinely*—she thought:

"It can't be wrong, can it?"

That belief held firm—until the moment she saw *you*.

You sat in the main tent, studying the campaign maps under the flickering golden candlelight.

You chuckled quietly when you saw her.

Then turned to the kneeling officer in front of you, and said gently:

"Get lost."

The man scrambled up and literally rolled out of the tent.

Kallen stepped aside to let him pass.

Even an idiot could tell something wasn't right.

And Kallen… well, she wasn't a complete fool.

"We've achieved so much already… all thanks to your manipulation, haven't we?" she asked quietly.

You didn't answer right away.

You smiled faintly, walked over, and gently guided her to sit at the main seat—then stood behind her, speaking only then:

"My lovely lotus… you didn't really think we were playing *pretend* this time, did you?"

"This is war, Kallen. An *invasion*."

"The soldiers outside, they're not saints. If you don't *let* them burn and pillage, they'll go mad. They'll twist and mutilate instead."

"They don't care about righteousness—not when their bishop gives them silence and a sword."

The candlelight flickered.

Kallen's cheeks flushed red—not from anger, but shame.

She had been so focused on doing good… she hadn't thought that far ahead.
