The Comet 220 flew into the air at a decent speed and began to close the gap between him and the golden snitch.

James had the chance to grow somewhat costume to this particular broom during his time at home so he felt comfortable using it now.

It was lacking in the speed department but the control was incredibly good.

He could follow the golden snitch with no problems, despite this one making a lot of closed-off turns.

The audience below was watching in amazement.

"Go James!" Sirius shouted.

"Whoa, James is amazing!" Peter looked up, his eyes filled with admiration.

"It seems like he flying even better than usual, look at those sharp turns. He must have practiced a lot during the summer." Remus commented.

"He is quite something, huh?" Alice chuckled while giving Lily a bump on her shoulder.

"Well, he had to be good at something." Lily didn't want to admit it, but she was a bit impressed too.

It only took James two minutes to finally get a hold of the golden snitch.

He managed to grab it before the ball made its way beneath one of the stands.

"Yeah!." Sirius was cheering for him.

The team Captain was beaming. "Looks like Brian has competition"

James descended next to the Captain and handed him the snitch back.

"How did I do?"

"Amazing, Potter. But you already knew that."

Charlie grinned.

"You are definitely in the team. But as I said before, we already have the position of main seeker covered. You can enter as a reserve."

"You are going to put him in reserve after seeing him fly like that?" Sirius came to complain. "By the way James, you have improved a lot!. Did you get to practice during the summer?." He knew that it couldn't have been easy, because he spent a large part of the summer in the hospital.

"Sirius, there is no need for complaints. I'm fine with being in the reserve." James didn't want Sirius to get on the Captain's bad side, and he didn't really mind not getting the spotlight. James was happy just to have the chance to fly around again.

The Captain turned to look at Sirius. "Black, this is not about Potter's skills. Our seeker is a seventh-year guy named Brian Jones. He has been on the team for several years and has done a good job in his position. So I cannot take the position from him. If Potter performs as well as today, then next year, the position of main seeker will surely go to him."

Charlie tapped James on his shoulder.

"But don't you worry, I'm sure you will have several chances to show your worth this year too. Brian will be very busy with his Newts, so he is bound to miss some games."

James nodded. "I understand. "

"Okay everyone!, trials are over, you can go rest. All I will say now is this…welcome to the Gryffindor team!"

"James, we have to go celebrate after this!" Sirius exclaimed.

"You mean..." James said.

"To Hogsmeade!" Sirius exclaimed.

"Cheers!" the group clashed their butter ear glasses together.

"Ahh, careful!. What if it breaks?!" Peter cried.

"Congrats to you two. You did great." Remus grinned.

"Yes, I knew you were going to make it." Frank said.

"I honestly thought you would have already tried on your second year."

"Yes, I was also surprised you waited this long, considering how obsessed the two of you have always been with Quidditch." Alice commented.

"We had to hone our skills!. I don't think we would have made it on our second year, right James?" Asked Sirius.

"Sure…although we do have a second year joining the team. I believe his name is Geoffrey. " James responded.

"He must be truly talented. " Peter said.

"What's wrong girl?, you barely touched your butterbear. " Alice told her companion.

Lily made a frowny face.

"I just…I would rather be in my room, studying. We have a test on Monday. There are some books I wanted to check this afternoon."

"Then why didn't you stay in the castle?" Remus asked, not liking her attitude.

"And leave her alone with a group of boys?, not a chance!" Lily exclaimed with fiery passion.

"Come on Lily, I would never allow anything to happen to Alice. " Frank defended.

"And we are all gentlemen here." Sirius grinned.

"Sure…" Lily rolled her eyes.

"Get out of there!"

The occupants of the table were startled when they heard a loud scream coming from nearby.

Everyone at the "Three Broomsticks" turned their attention towards the commotion.

A group of two boys and two girls were standing up in front of one boy and one girl sitting at one of the tables.

"Why do we have to get out?, we were here first." The boy demanded to know.

James did not recognise the couple sitting down at the table. They looked like a normal couple of seniors enjoying some food and drinks.

However, he did recognize some of the members of the group confronting them.

At the back were two girls he has seen several times already.

Bellatrix Black and her sister Narcissa.

At the front were two older boys. One looked very refined, with long platinum blonde hair and an expression of disdain he was very familiar with.

'He looks just like Draco but with long hair…that can only be Lucius.'

The other boy was very big and muscular, he had a very rough appearance.

'Is that guy a student?, he looks to be twenty at least. Wait, if this is some double couple date and he is with Bellatrix…that probably is…'

"Shit, Lestrange is looking for trouble again…" Sirius glanced with a frown.

James realized then. 'That big guy must be Rodolphus Lestrange…Bellatrix future husband...and one of the most ruthless wizards on Voldemort's ranks.'
