As usual, Arthur was exploring the YGGDRASILL, and he received a notification.

He opened up his system interface to see what it was.

[ Notification +1 ]

"What is this?"

He discovered that a game friend had sent him a message. Normally, they wouldn't get in touch with him in this way if it wasn't important, but since they did, Arthur eagerly opened the mail to see what it was about.

"Hmm... Oh, Sh*t! Finally HAHAHA!" Arthur laughed like a madman.

When he read the context of the message, he was really happy about it. Arthur knows that the content of the mail is good, but not this good. He's expecting some new Event, Quest, or Boss Location, but turns out, it's more than that.

What's inside the mail is the thing that he has been waiting for ever since he started playing YGGDRASIL. It's one of the major events that he's constantly preparing for.

"After all this time, you are finally here" Out of all the long text that is written inside the Mail, Arthur is only focused on a certain part.

{World Championship}

"Finally. It's finally here." Arthur had been waiting for it for who knows how long, so when he realized that the tournament would begin and that there were only two weeks left to register, he was overjoyed.

"Friday, remember to register at the tournament when registration starts"

The day of the World Championship Tournament. It's been ten days already since the first announcement of the World level event.

The day when it was announced, many had been so hyped up to the point that the majority of players in YGGDRASIL have been expected to participate.

There are still some players who did not, but the only explanations for this are that they are either still at a low level or lack the proper equipment. But those who have reached the peak or are nearly there and who have excellent equipment will undoubtedly join.

There's no way that any player will let this event pass through them without even joining or at least trying. Especially after the rewards have been announced.

Not only will the winners receive a unique job class, but the developers will also award them with an exclusive piece of custom gear appropriate for their title as World Champion.

The Players are all out of control because of this. They are exerting all of their efforts solely for the purpose of strengthening themselves even further. They are gathering resources, purchasing necessary items, and leveling up all the classes they require.

Everyone involved is in need. They will do anything to obtain a piece of equipment that even slightly increases their chances of winning. Anything just to get the job done and win.

Arthur was not an exception in this kind of environment. Even though he had been anticipating this day and making plans for it since the first day he began playing this game, he still made a few last-minute preparations in case things did not go according to plan, which is impossible because Friday doesn't allow such things to happen but Arthur still did it for his inner peace.

He still isn't aware of the requirements and standards for Championship; rather, it would be more accurate to say that he doesn't bother to read any because he enjoys suspense. Consequently, there might be something different from what he anticipates the World Tournament to be like. He's going into this Event blindly even though he is aware that it will happen at some point, but that doesn't mean he isn't confident in winning; in fact, he is so sure of his victory that he doesn't even bother to read any instructions posted on the YGGDRASILL official website.

However, his preparation lags far behind that of the others. It simply involves double-checking his supply and other things. Nothing at all about his character or anything of the sort. He did gather materials and grind, but he always does that; therefore, what he did over the past few days wasn't really for the Tournament.

Contrary to other people, who began their preparations as soon as they heard the announcement, Arthur had at least a year to prepare the tools and supplies he would need for the fight. Simply put, he is constantly updating and changing it. It's similar to an item that has been carefully brewed over the course of a year using the finest materials.

All of that, however, is irrelevant now that the anticipated day has arrived. The YGGDRASILL needs to see who the new champion is, so it's time to put on a fight. Arthur can assess whether his efforts were sufficient.

The outcome of this Event will change Arthur's upcoming decisions and plans for the future. Even the Plans he already made will be affected as well. But either way, Arthur has no intention of losing this Event.

Arthur is currently standing in the middle of the 'Waiting Room' inside the YGGDRASIL.

"Now the time has come for me to unleash my power, HAAHAA"

Hearing his Chuunibyou line people around him ignore him as it is common to see such people.

*Murmurs*

Arthur can see a lot of players around. Some are meeting with their friends, some are minding their own business, and some are just doing nothing at all.

As he was lazing around, a noise suddenly rang out and grabbed all their attention. It was a notification. The players all look at their consoles and see what it is.

{The World Championship will start in a few moments.}

{To all Players that wish to participate, please navigate your Console to pick a Base World you wish to Join }

"Well, it looks like it's starting."

Just like the Notification stated earlier, Arthur navigated his console and looked for the menu where he could enter the World Championship and selected HELHEIM.

He then added up equipment and others that he was going to use in the column that appears after the world selection. After that, a button appeared on his screen that he needed to click so he could enter the Tournament grounds.

He pulled up his inventory console and arranged something on his items and equipment for a moment. After that, he took a deep breath.

"Alright, let's freaking do it," Arthur said with a tone full of confidence as if he just did something that made him the winner already.

After that, he finally clicks the [ Enter ] button without any hesitation and then vanishes with a light.
