Now it was 9 Pillars vs 5 Upper Moons—but Esdeath targeted Kokushibo directly after learning from Ren that Upper Moon One was the strongest. So that left 9 Pillars vs. the remaining 4 Upper Moons, a very favorable matchup for the Corps, given that they faced neither Kokushibo nor Doma.

"You, who are you?" Kokushibo's six eyes fixed on Esdeath.

"Don't waste words. If we're enemies, let's have a proper fight!" Esdeath drew her Western-style sword, her lips curling into a battle-ready grin.

"So be it." Kokushibo slashed, black crescents shaped like moon blades radiating outward.

Esdeath's thrust conjured a frigid spike of ice that crushed the moon blades.

"Blood Demon Art?"

Before Kokushibo could wonder, an enormous block of ice dropped from above, casting a heavy shadow.

Meanwhile, lesser demons and lower-tier slayers clashed in fierce combat but when the perspective panned over to Exusiai, the atmosphere abruptly changed.

"Overdrive!"

Exusiai's wings of light expanded, flooding the area with dazzling brilliance. Particles gathered in the air; dozens of firearms took shape around her. Every barrel aimed at the demons.

"Ready to roll! Time to deliver a special gift to these demons!" She yelled excitedly.

Rat-tat-tat-tat-tat-tat!

All her guns unleashed a barrage like a cluster of machine guns firing simultaneously—yet requiring no reloading. Any demon struck by the bullets cried in agony, soon perishing.

Exusiai's Firearm Creation encompassed more than just crafting guns. She could incorporate known materials—like nichirin steel and wisteria poison—into the composition of the ammo. So each of the dozens of guns fired shots laden with wisteria toxins and scarlet iron. Essentially, the bullets themselves mimicked the demon-slaying properties.

"Heaven's will! Barrage! Rock n' roll! Apple Pie!"

With Exusiai's wild rat-tat-tat-tat, ordinary demons died miserably in droves.
