Alex was dying.

It was no secret, to him or to anyone who was close to him.

He had terminal cancer and was due to die anytime soon.

He had taken drugs and underwent several treatment to prolong his life and postpone his sadness.

However to him it was a waste of time, equal to pouring water in a basket.

The treatment wasn't prolonging his life, it was only prolonging his suffering.

Right now, Alex was laying in bed, every breathe he took was painful, like a comb of pins was being raked across his lungs.

His head burned like there was an oven in it, and his body hurt like he was laying on a bed of nails.

He knew it wouldn't be long now before he closed his eyes and took his last breath.

In fact he was hoping for his death to come soon so he could be free from the world.

By his side, his sister sat on a chair, dozing.

A nurse stood a few feet away from her, she was setting up the drip he would get in the evening.

However she wouldn't get to use it because Alex took one last breath and closed his eyes forever.

The nurse noticed his unnatural stillness moments later and tapped his sister.

He's gone. She said.

While this was happening, there was also unrest in the world.

But to understand this, you first need context.

There are seven deadly sins, each one powerful and given a region of the underworld to rule.

In the beginning, their powers were relatively equal and they existed peacefully.

However the world above changed and as pornography was first introduced and the internet as well, degeneracy multiplied and people became more peverse in their thoughts and actions.

This caused Lust to grow stronger and stronger until finally he was almost as strong the other deadly sins combined.

The other deadly sins were scared that Lust would make use of his new strength to

overpower them and conquer their regions.

So to prevent that, they decided to attack him first before he got any stronger.

That leads us back to this moment.

This innocent evening, the other deadly sins ambushed Lust and attacked him, taking most of his power and sharing it among themselves.

Now Lust laid on the ground, weakened beyond imagination, the deadly sins had left him with only enough power to not die, nothing more.

He acted immobile till they left and then pulled himself to his feet.

He immediately headed to the gate of the underworld, he needed to find a suitable host to give his system to, so he could get stronger.

Ignoring the unimaginable amount of pain he felt, he went to the gate of the underworld and waited.

Alex had only one regret. He hadn't lived a full life.

He had discovered the sickness at the age of sixteen and since then he hadn't gotten a normal life.

He had to spend most of his life taking medication and undergoing treatment and he spent the final two years of his life bedridden.

It was a boring life, he wished he could get a second chance at a proper life this time, so he could experience the joys of life.

Especially women.

Because there was nothing Alex loved more than women.

All shapes, all sizes, all skin tones, all nationalities, he didn't mind as long as she was beautiful.

It was a pity he never got to indulge himself in any.

Imagine dying a virgin, such a sad existence.

Lust had stayed by the gate for a while now, gauging every passerby and judging them unworthy.

Then he saw a soul walking sorrowfully past, his head bowed in sadness.

What? Alex asked, a little shocked. Then he remembered, he was sick and he eventually died.

Huh. He said, not knowing what more to say.

You have regrets. The guy said to him.

Alex was shocked as to how the guy knew his thoughts.

Who are you? He asked suspiciously.

I am Lust. The guy said.

Is that supposed to be a code for something?

Alex replied

No, no. Lust replied impatiently. Look there is no time, your soul is anchoring to this place as we speak, if it anchors too much it will be too late.

Okay I'm listening. Alex said.

I am lust, I'm one of the seven deadly sins.

The others feared my strength, they feared for what I might do to them, so they ganged up on me and sapped me of my power.

I wasn't planning to wage war with them before but after what they just did, I will surely have my revenge.

Alex nodded slowly, trying to process it.

Now you're dead and you've lived a restricted and boring life. Lust said. You want a second chance, I can fix that.

How? Alex asked

I need to get stronger, you need a new life plus to get stronger. I have a simple solution to both problems.

What is it? Alex replied, not believing a word but having his curiosity stoked

Lust held up his bleeding arm. Drink my blood and take my system.

What the heck, are you crazy? Alex said and stepped back.

There's no time! Lust growled. If you say no you're trapped here forever. Do you want my system? Yes or no.

Alex thought about it quickly, what did he have to lose by trying out the psycho's idea?

Yes. He said

Then drink. Lust replied.

Alex touched his mouth to the wound and swallowed a few drops of blood

Then he passed out.
