Xander's life has been boring since he entered high school. He got addicted to games because of the immersion and the adrenaline he feels when he plays dangerous adventures.

This led him to want to become a pro-gamer, people that test new products for game companies and having a fan base like others on the internet and social media.

Sandra walked around the grounds of the base cheerfully as she explored all the regions alone.

As she passed she couldn't help but be 'wowed' every now and then as the base seemed like technology at it's peak. Somethings she saw there she had never seen it outside.

As she passed a group of people, an old scientist with a full white beard couldn't help but eye the beautiful girl that just passed by.

*Slap!*

"Focus Joe! For Christ's sake!"

"Sorry."

The scientist then went back to doing his job.

Sandra of course didn't notice this and just smiled as she explored the perimeters of the underground cave.

She suddenly stopped with a frown as she heard something from the room she just passed which had a slightly opened door.

She then walked back a little and listened on the conversation between two male voices.

"Lucas Dave. The owner of the game technology company that created the gaming tech for League of Guardians."

"Yes. The ghoulshippers would need some kind of medium as they can't go from house to house using their powers."

"You're right."

"We have to tell Mr Ciel."

"Yeah. We could interrogate the man and find the base!"

"Then we'll split the salary that we earned haha."

"Ehh. Wait, who's the 'we'?"

"What do you mean?"

"I came up with the idea so I'll take all the money."

"You greedy bastard!"

"..."

Sandra walked back to the room where the others were, looking dejected as she began pondering.

'It was really my dad that programmed the softwares for the game. Could what they said be true?'

No matter what she thought she couldn't help but reason that her father was involved in this whole thing.

Her father designed the hardware machines which people would use to download the game into their flash drive so it could be possible that he was really helping the bad guys.

'I have to go back. I have to ask dad about this.' She thought as she entered the room and saw the others there.

"Huh? What happened?" Harry asked as he saw Sandra's expression which was a mix of confusion and fear.

Xander of course didn't ask because Harry asked first and it would be pointless to repeat what his friend just said.

"I want to go and see my parents. It has been months since they last saw me."

Xander shrugged as he stood up.

"Okay. I'll come with you."

"No!" Sandra shouted, looking at Xander with furrowed brows.

Harry and Hannah were even more shocked as they thought Xander and Sandra had something between them.

'Couples are weird.' Both of them thought coincidentally.

Seeing everyone's gazes in the room Sandra's expression softened as she corrected herself.

"I mean. I need to see my parents. It's something private."

She doesn't believe that her father would be a part of such an evil organization. Her mother works as a captain on a ship so she wouldn't see her at home.

Xander shrugged as he laid back on the bed. He didn't think much of how Sandra acted towards him and just thought one thing.

'Girls are so weird.'

He then closed his eyes as he enjoyed the cooling sensation brought by the air conditioner in the room.

Sandra turned and left the room and just headed towards the elevator. Then she left the base.

Over the past day Xander would go into his inner world which was where that large energy pool was to speak with Asura.

Slowly, the demon god has started opening up to him slowly.

As he appeared in what looked like a galaxy. The red sun illuminated the surroundings and all the stars were red and all glimmered as if they were alive.

But the beautiful scenery was not what Xander was here for. He looked around and sighed as he called a name.

"Asura."

"You're back so early."

Xander heard the voice behind him but he wasn't spooked like the last time. This God liked to spook people out but Xander has already gotten used to the foolishness by now.

"I want to know something. How did you deal with your problem when the person closest to you died?"

That question seemed to stir something in the god's heart. Asura turned around, his long white hair fluttered even in the absence of wind which... didn't make any sense.

Xander put his hand on his chest as he felt like the emotions he was feeling wasn't his.

"I abandoned... IT."

Confused by his words Xander asked, "What exactly did you abandon?"

Asura turned back, casting a glance at the young man as he spoke, "My emotions."

"I don't understand what you mean."

Asura just shrugged.

"You will when you abandon yours."

...

Xander walked away from the volley ball pitch and when he reached the net fence he looked back at the entrance. It indeed looked like a regular sports center.

'Technology has come so far.' He thought before he lept over the fence with little to no effort at all.

He was heading to his area of peace. The place where he can think and feel at ease. No one would be there in these times with what is going on around.

As he walked he couldn't help but ponder about his and Asura's conversation.

"When you abandon your emotions. You lose your reasoning and you will be stronger than you can ever imagine. All my past succesors took this path. It's most likely that you will take it too."

Xander soon reached a park. The park was heaven to Xander as its not usually populated. It was quiet and the cool breeze clears one's mind of problems.

On his way he saw a lot of destroyed buildings and smashed cars but he didn't pay any attention to that as he had a lot on his mind.

He looked around. The quietness of the place made him feel at ease. The water fountain in the middle of the park still ran and it was the only sound that filled this desolate place.

As he walked closer to a tree he began to see the silhouette of a person there. Xander walked slowly and then he saw a familiar figure.

"Um. What are you doing here, Sandra?"
