The CEO's loser wife: Rebirth of the villainous queen of alchemy

Chapter 25: You are going to die as a single dog!

"Excuse me, did you not like the products?" Robert curiously asked.

Su Lin, who was walking by them heard the man and casually turned around to answer him.

Her previously nonchalant face was slightly startled at the sight of those piercing blue eyes staring at her. The man in front of her looked extremely handsome and captivating.

Robert noticed the change in her expressions and his grin widened.

But, his smug smile unfortunately did not last long. Su Lin recovered from her initial surprise the next instant and curtly answered.

"Yes, the products in this shop are not up to my standards."

She then proceeded to walk out of the shop, as if it had nothing to do with her.

"What the?" Robert was stunned. His sister who was right next to him, getting her makeup done with these apparently 'subpar' products was also stunned.

The makeup artist cursed Su Lin mentally and gnashed her teeth. But she maintained her calm smiling face and hurriedly explained.

"Ah... Don't mind that customer sir. She must have been offended by our prices. High quality products could only be expensive. Unfortunately we cannot satisfy everyone."

The makeup artist smoothly put the blame on Su Lin's jealousy and labelled her a fox who called the grapes sour.

Robert, however, did not pay attention to the makeup artist's blabberings.

In his eyes, the woman didn't look petty at all. She might have worn cheap clothes and looked very plain and simple, but there was an air of nobility and elegance about her.

"Interesting." He chuckled and went back to his work.

After a couple more minutes, the final touches were done and the makeup stylist put her last brush down nervously. "All done madam. Sir." She hesitatingly declared.

She had already done everything she could, and now it was up to the Gods in front of her to decide her fate.

Angela opened her clear blue eyes and checked her face in the mirror.

She was a naturally beautiful woman with almost flawless skin. So it was not exactly a challenge for the stylist to make her look stunning.

The real challenge here was rather to showcase her talents on a face that was already pretty perfect.

One would require much more creativity and artistry in this scenario when compared to simply making an ugly face presentable.

Batting her long thick eyelashes, Angela playfully turned towards Robert and giggled, "Look at that, big brother. I am getting prettier every day!" She stuck out her tongue and smiled.

Robert, however, seriously replied, "Yup. Just like a pig dressed for a beauty contest. You do look very pretty."

"Damn you, brother! You are going to die as a single dog. Mark my words you jerk."

"Let's just go back to the hotel. I have a meeting to get to! Hmph", giving up on her thick-skinned brother, Angela huffed.

While Angela and the makeup artist waited impatiently for Robert's response, the handsome man took his sweet time to analyze the handiwork of the woman.

After 5 mins, but what seemed like an hour to the artist, he finally nodded his head and said, "Hmm... You are indeed talented. No doubt about it. Any small mistake on a face like my sister's would completely be exposed. You did well."

"I did not find any flaws. But at the same time, you haven't taken any risks either. You just went for a traditional every day working woman look."

Before the artist could explain further, Robert stopped her and added, "You were auditioning for a magazine cover makeup artist position. I already know that you are good."

"What I wanted to see from you was courage and creativity, which unfortunately I did not see."

"I don't think you should be joining us now. You need a lot more confidence and experience. I suggest you continue working here and apply to the main office next year."

Without waiting for a response, the man walked away, along with his sister. Both the brother and sister pair looked extremely good looking and turned several heads as they walked out the mall.

"Well, I tried." The makeup artist looked sad and even started tearing up.

The manager rushed forward and comforted her, "Don't worry. He is rumored to be always like this, neither polite nor rude. Straight to the point. You will have other chances later. Don't worry."

The other stylist in the shop who worked on or rather tried to work on Su Lin defeatedly added, "At least you reached this level. Getting a God like that to personally test you."

"Look at me. Damn it. I was just rejected by a stupid bumpkin." She helplessly shrugged.

While the two makeup artists were venting their grievances, the stupid bumpkin in question was currently heading towards the main apparel store that she intended to visit.

Su Lin still needed a gown for the gala.
